Partelo ("the app") is developed and operated by Mvirai ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the Partelo mobile app on iOS and Android.
For users in the European Union and the United Kingdom, Mvirai is the data controller for the personal data described below.
Partelo requires an account, because groups and expenses are shared between the people splitting them. When you sign in with Google or with Apple, we receive and store:
If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever receive Apple's relay address. We never receive your password from either provider.
Group names, member names you type, expense descriptions, amounts, categories, currencies, dates, who paid, how an expense was split, and payments you record as settled.
If you scan a receipt, the photograph is processed on your own device (see section 3). An image is only uploaded if you explicitly attach it to an expense.
Your subscription status and purchase history, so the app knows which features to unlock. We never see or store your card details — payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google.
Crash reports, performance diagnostics, and an advertising identifier used to serve ads on the Free and Lite tiers.

Where the on-device features cannot interpret something, and only then, the relevant text may be sent to Google's Gemini API to be structured — for example turning receipt text into a list of items. In that case:
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with providers who operate parts of the service on our behalf:
Other members of a group you join will see the group name, your display name, and the expenses and balances within that group. That is the purpose of the app.
Our providers process data on servers outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. These transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Your account and content are kept while your account exists. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where we must retain records to comply with law (for example, tax records of purchases). Crash diagnostics are retained for up to 90 days.
If you are in the EU, the UK or another territory with equivalent law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent.

To exercise any right, write to contact@mvirai.com. We reply within 30 days. If you are in Spain and you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
Free and Lite users see advertising supplied by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising identifier. On iOS we ask your permission before any tracking takes place, and you may decline. Ultra removes all advertising.
Partelo is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Data held on our providers' infrastructure is encrypted at rest. Local backups created by the app are encrypted before being written to storage. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we change this policy materially we will update the date at the top and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
